毕业于澳大利亚科廷大学，获博士学位。主要从事儿童青少年生长发育和心理健康、健康相关行为干预与促进、妇幼保健及基层卫生等方面的研究。主持及参与多项国家及省部级项目多项，近五年发表论文十余篇。
